Mernacs Disciple Weekly Report

Mernac.com FREE fantasy fiction

Sixth addition to More stray??.
I’ve taken the liberty of posting a note, stating what I do within Mernac. Mission Statement Proofreader Zealots and Spot a Error, Yay or Nay.

My reports are then copied and tagged into the TS&E forum then I pop a copy in my blog and a note is PM’d to TO, as Elsen is on a break.

I would also like to point out that I am compiling a list of help threads and a suggested list of Open/Closed Saplings. The former is also posted in the TS&E at the time of making my reports. The Help thread is an ongoing and I will share it, once notified of a place within the forums of Mernac.

Unless there are major issues with the tale or permissions are not granted. I will PM the scribe with the errors and leave a note within the report stating that some typos were spotted. I will however, remove the stray ?? without notifying the scribe. That is all I will do and no changes will be made to the body of the text. As stated within the Proof reading zealot, I will wait a month or more and if I am not notified, I will then go in a make the changes. I will then proceed to leave a note in the TS&E saying when the changes were made.

Oh, nearly forgot on occasion. I’ll receive a request to read through some parts of Mernac, which I will do. Priorities, these will now fall under that heading. Please do remember I do not have access to all areas. So sometimes Typos, Spellin and Errors need to be fixed the hard way. But please do PM me and I’ll chase up the God or scribe that can fix these.

It also appears that a few of the scribes that had in the past been active on the site are no longer active. I was wondering what will happen with their works that are not completed. Is there anyway of notifying said scribes and if they do not wish to return and complete their tales, opening them for other current scribes to take up the tale.

Now if you’re an interested scribe/writer you may want to take a look at Welcome to the Age of Elsen. Which details exactly what the God Elsen is looking for from scribes within his age.
Priorities:
Nil attained this week. Though you could say my own writing has been a bit of a priority and the RW.
Now back to scheduled events such as finishing the Legends section and then moving onwards.

The Croth Rebellion
Sage of The Croth Rebellion: Elsen Elsen may want to look at changing the wording of years to seasons in the intro to this piece.

Might I suggest that you connect Mernac > The Dragon > Sagas and Books > Book: The Croth Rebellion this into the introduction. Allowing readers to follow the tale as set out in the book. I’m going to use it to follow the tale as the scribe has set it out. Which by the way (IMHO) is yet another brilliant idea for keeping a track on Sagas and book chapters.

The Mysterious Visitor: There is one or two small incidences where the spacing has joined. I cannot edit this as I don’t have the capability.

Lord Vaarsak:
Already read and commented upon.

Croth Rebellion - The Beginning: Still need to read this.

Croth Rebellion - A Vow Inspired: Still need to read this.

A True Hero's Journey: Still need to read this.

Closed Sapling/s: Curious as to what will happen with these if the original scribes, no longer come onto the site.

Shir'talla:
Removed a stray ?
Resh'karitas:
Removed a stray ?

Open/Closed Saplings: How about I just note that here, I’ve blown the ? off the page.
Prospective and Current Scribes: there are plenty of Open Saplings that are just dying for their tales to be told. So if your stuck in a block, take a look at what’s on offer. You know I rather think these are a programming glitch. If the trolls could locate the stray in the scribes notes they could eradicate them in one foul hit. Then maybe TO would be very pleased and maybe just maybe give them a little praise.

Some of these I’m sure I removed once before. Hence the above query.
Rage Bears
Black Owls
Mirdoren
The Hall: This appears to have lost its Open sapling teaser.
The Council Chamber: This appears to have lost its Open sapling teaser.
Pyroglyph's Aerie: This appears to have lost is Open sapling teaser.
Hero of My Dreams
Forever Nyte - Disciple of Terees: This appears to have lost is Open sapling teaser.
Witch: Added some italics, removed a stray ?
Spider Elm 1: There are two copies of this in the OS, this one I did not edit out the stray ?.
Spider Elm 2: This one is ok, to use.
Frost Giants: To be written by LindaC...
Goldmont
Huda Strone, Choicemaker
Faithmore City

Can’t Edit these, I don’t have a capability: 1. they are in the OV. 2. they are in the d20 resources.
Triple Trap Crush: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes. Also a few of the sentences seem to have dropped down and makes the piece look wrong.
The Sword of Mages: Has a stray in the scribes notes and the editors notes are a different color to the rest of LoM.
1/2 Dragon Knights: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes. Also a few of the sentences seem to have dropped down and makes the piece look wrong.
Linds: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Scurs: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Stoney Roots: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Croth Rebellion: Module 2: The catacombs of Ummm: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Ummm's Mirror: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Catacomb of Ummm: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Skill Specialization: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Keesha Crystals: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Ga Gemstones: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Crothhound: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Armour of the deep: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Shiatu's Edge: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Azeman: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Tanaari Horse: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Pit Trap - Curved to prevent easy rescue: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Corridor Trap - Raining Oil: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Pit Trap - Falling Rope: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Cross Roads Tavern: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Corridor Trap - Rolling cylinder down stairs variant: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Intro to Grenur the assassin: Has a stray ? in the scribes notes.
Potion of Alkaline: Has a stray in the scribes notes.
Pit Trap - Acid with wall of air variant - Poisonous Fumes: Title spelled incorrectly.
Executioner's Sword:
Al Qu'inora- Azeman oil:

Miscellaneous: Within this heading you will find a wide range of little things that will over burden the Trolls, minor issues I have taken care of will be listed. If you are a scribe and wanting to assist with writing a tale about one of these Races or other arenas. I suggest that you do a little research and then go for it. Remember to contact the sage of the various arenas or one of his representatives.

07-08-16 The Other Addresses the Masses: Strange one this, there’s a test image from Betatester incorporated into the top of TO’s notice. Not sure if it was intentional, caught the eye as it was unlike the rest of TO’s Addresses to the Masses. To is looking into this one and its on her to do list.

Merfolk: Incorrectly labeled as an Open Sapling, I think this is a completed sapling, which makes it a seed.

Rage: This is a placeholder for Valorius

Tresat ur'Loth: Comes up with the following message:
(put your first paragraph here in the top box...)
(...and the rest of your story here.)

Oomba Oota:`Don’t know why but this one came up twice in the recent tales listings, but with the same link number.

Wagon Stickers: Curious if this is still a Pending Contest. I feel it could be a great money maker if it got off the ground in the future.

Roadius: No longer a Closed Sapling as the God position has been filled.

Gollivag: Listed as an Open Sapling, but missing the Original scribe notes etc at the bottom of the piece.

Second Banner Test: Not required really.

Incubus: This is was a closed Sapling and has now been written up as Incubus Frost. So I feel it is no longer necessary to have it listed, though the alternative could be have a link placed to the character sketch.

Mispoint: A scribe has already taken this one up and it is awaiting the scribes attention and approval from the Gods.

Sons of Pretense: Fixed some grammar errors.

Igruss Cliffwalker: Has NO text in the body of this Open Sapling.

Some of the older initial Open Saplings. Set out in a completely different manner than is currently used.
Tian Islands:
Brangin:
Permia: Removed the stray ? marks.
Strayton Village – TBW: Removed the stray ? marks. Fixed a couple of typos and a little grammar.
Village of the Gentle Ones:
Traddlebow Castle: ALERT to TO/LUCIA: in edit mode if you scroll to Story type you will see some strange programming text. Removed the strays, fixed typos.

Anon scribes: Curious as to what will happen with these.
Arac:
Caetyri:
Aquestri:
The Venra and the Morta:
Arden:

You’ll know all the tales I’ve read by the comments that are left behind. I must say there has been a lot of great reads.

I must say that my dictionary is having a fit with all the names…but it helps with the checking and referencing. I’ve noticed that the vagaries of spelling vary greatly with some scribes writing. Ie: Traveling – Travelling. These issues I have not altered as they pertain to the scribes locale.

I’ve also been taking time to write my own tales, as they seem to get lost in the fray of researching, reading, playing in the forums and seeking assistance from other scribes. Those of which I want to thank, whole heartedly for their assistance. As we all know my punctuation is terrible and it seems to take me longer to get anything published. This is primarily due to my own RW commitments and other issues, but I am hanging in there and doing what I can for LoM.

I just want to re-iterate that I do not under any circumstance change your text or make revisions. I remove stray ? and correct spelling, as per position description above dictates.
If I see the spelling was meant to be way the scribe intended it, I leave it as found.

Mernacs Disciple Weekly Report

Mernac.com FREE fantasy fiction

Characters, Places, Items and sundry,

Below you will find complete listings of references made in tales that can be put before the scribes and either used to establish further tales or Open/Closed Saplings. Listed will also be the original tale from which said items have been found.

Let me say now that I have not performed a search on all of these and as thus do not know if tales have been scribed. However, some I do know and they will not be listed.

As I am not a Goddess yet, I do not ever want to force any scribe to start writing. But I do want to encourage you all too please look at the places available and use those first. Yes it is encouraged by all the Gods, the One, and the Other to create towns and villages. But I’d like to say, scribe the area as well as mentioning it in your tale. Why do I suggest these things? It will assist everyone overall and keep the areas to a reasonable Factual description, but also allowing them to add their own creative flair to the Kingdoms. This also includes other sundry items. If we all as scribes keep a close eye on what we are creating and utilizing what it available, it’ll only further the interconnectedness of LoM.

Legends:
Tales From The Smoke House – 1
Please see note in weekly report as well as this Open/Closed Sapling ideas.
Attar of roses:
Lord Munstel
Tameera: a character and favorite of Ka'ab al-Ahbar
A silver chain and a black amulet, upon which runes were engraved: Now this sounds like a very interesting article, which could be widely used throughout the LoM, even to the extent of the RPG arena.

Birthday Surprise
Lerish Pendant: green and blue gems embedded in the round pendent.
Cheresh: A term of endearment used in place of ‘Dear One.’
Arvast Sellid's Glorious Night in Lingin: a popular martial theme. I’d so like hear this composed and utilized within LoM.
Boden crickums: Assuming they are an insect.
Jenson Gold Coins: Now there be a wonderful tale to tell, a quest, yes a quest to locate all the coins and house them in the great library.

Healer's Quest Chapters 1 and 2
Letch cakes and prat juice
Corva: a relaxant that appears to be added to Prat juice
Kirev: Guessing it’s the dragon way of counting.
Reglos: a young elf that taught Frostleaf Ogre Imitator
Ogre Imitator: A spell. That is described in the above tale.
elberry tea:
See there are foods and spells used within the tales that have not been scribed for others to utilize.

Fifth addition to More stray??.

I’ve taken the liberty of posting a note, stating what I do within Mernac. Mission Statement Proofreader Zealots and Spot a Error. Yay or Nay.

Now if you’re an interested scribe/writer you may want to take a look at Welcome to the Age of Elsen. Which details exactly what the God Elsen is looking for from scribes within his age.

Priorities:
Let's Talk about the Gods: fixed minor typos. Had to go about this one the hard way, but it is done and report has been forwarded to TO.

Now back to scheduled events such as finishing the Character section and then moving onwards.

Back to Characters:
Races of Light:
Ok, as usual I snuck some of them into the previous post, well half of them anyway. Plus I’m not listing all the headings. I like back linking but not that much. Well it appears I’ve found the end of what is currently listed in the Characters. So now its time to move into
Legends:

Closed Sapling/s: Curious as to what will happen with these if the original scribes, no longer come onto the site.
A Vow to the Fallen:
The following note is attached to the end of this piece.
From Mernac Admin: This is currently under wrong category. What you need to determine is what Timeline you would like this to be taken place in. What kind of race or creature is this? What Place does this occur? This story really is only a Sapling at this time until these finer details are established.
1st Millennium:
In the Beginning:
More than aware that this arena is reserved for only the Gods/Mothers & Fathers. I feel that a notification needs to be added along the lines of which has already been scribed by Rick in Let's Talk about the Gods.

Moved into The Age of Elsen (0 - Bella 1, 666): But nothing under this heading to report.

The First Disciple:
Rick may want to look at the typos, shown in bold. See below:
Onas Brushstroke is an artisan, scribe, romantic(e)... and the First Disciple of Siberlee. The first of Any Disciple if truth be known. I(t)n these tales you will see a young man grow into and old man... and back again as is dictated by the Trauncha of Siberlle's (Siberlee’s) Discoples (Disciples)

Before the Outcry:
Removed some stray ? in the scribes notes.

Open/Closed Saplings: How about I just note that here, I’ve blown the ? off the page.
Prospective and Current Scribes: there are plenty of Open Saplings that are just dying for their tales to be told. So if your stuck in a block, take a look at what’s on offer. Blew about half a dozen stray ?? from pages, but forgot to snag the links. So your gonna have take my word for it.

Also Rick is asking what we want to see completed. Then theres Mother Terees offer to consider too.

Allessandra Omistsu:
Removed the stray ?. Closed Sapling, placeholder for Frost.

Cascadence Massacre:
Removed a singular stray from scribes notes.

Moved into The Age of Elsen (0 - Bella 1, 666), as I don’t have editing capabilities within The Beginning, however, I did note that there were some minor grammar errors. Such the need for an extra ‘s’ or plural here and there.

Miscellaneous
: Within this heading you will find a wide range of little things that will over burden the Trolls, minor issues I have taken care of will be listed. If you are a scribe and wanting to assist with writing a tale about one of these Races or other arenas. I suggest that you do a little research and then go for it. Remember to contact the sage of the various arenas or one of his representatives.
Arleas Kaedani:
This has some avenues for open/closed sapling in the place arena.
Greyson Tarlucius:
This has some avenues for open/closed saplings in a variety of arenas.
Rage:
Place holder for Valorius. You too can find an Open Sapling and request a place holder. Just PM the initial scribe and make the request.
Lucius Deovitus:
This has some avenues for open/closed saplings in a variety of arenas.
Sorcia Valerian:
A reference to birthday instead of season is within this text.

Ok, I’ve moved into the Legends arena:
Tales From The Smoke House – 1 :
Is there anyway that this could be made into two posts? It does have two chapters and I feel warrants the separation of posts. Is Tori B still a contributing member of LoM?
There are also birthday, year, months, smoke (which I feel should be listed as Tiko.), references that do not fit with the current season descriptions within LoM. Also there are opportunities for scribes to create Open Saplings from this piece. See my O/S suggestions post for more detailed information. In my humble opinion there is also an over use of some words. Ie: them.
WIP! Current Ongoing Sagas:
Appears to be a web page and it is noted as a W.I.P. Hoping that it is not one that has dropped to the bottom of a ToDoList.

Moved into The Age of Elsen (0 - Bella 1, 666):

Healer's Quest Chapters 1 and 2
:
Made a space between the chapters as they appeared to run into each other, achieved through adding two lines, blank of course.

Painting Siberlee:
Fixed some spacing issues. Changed centuries to seasons
In Her Eyes:
Fixed some spacing issues and centered the song. Which I feel should also be added to Items.

Disciple Report

Mernac.com FREE fantasy fiction

Must be close to having caught up, with the Disciple duties, not the sitting in branches sweeping ? down onto the earth for Goran to assimilate into the earth, and make something creative of their sorry little hooked selves.

As a part of my Disciple duties, I/Anemo
provide the peepers for proofreading and removal of residual ??, from the sites crash last year. Some aspects I just do not have the capacity to fix and others I do.
Any tale that requires a little more 1:1 attention I’ll send a PM to the scribe. Then post it in the relevant forum, making a brief note here in my report.

What I’d like to see is that scribes take note of what they are creating during the inspiring writing and ensure that they try and make a Open Sapling or they please drop a note here. Though I think this thread should be moved to Anthology of names. Following the way that is set out in the first post. What do you think? Is this something that can be brought up and discussed at the Gods meetings?

Back to Characters:
Races of Light:
Ok, I snuck some of them into the previous post, well half of them anyway. Plus I’m not listing all the headings. I like back linking but not that much.

Oomba Oota: removed a minor ? in scribes notes.
Vanessa Freeheart: Removed the occasional ??. Also some minor typos.
• and processes (possesses) an aura of femininity that seems to permeate every part
Lord Damius Malcron: Removed the stray ?. May also want to look at the M-con in this as it gave me grief, trying to close it back up, had to change it from a branch to a seed just to close it.

Also want to add that I am reading all the tales. One checking for typos and two to try and assist myself with learning to write in the various arena’s. Learning by example of the ‘elite’ of LoM. Below you will find a list of what I have read and hopefully commented upon.
Reading recorded list: Most of these can be accessed through the recent comments on the left side bar. I’ve not listed them here as there are far too many.

Open Saplings: How about I just note that here, I’ve blown the ? off the page.
Prospective and Current Scribes: there are plenty of Open Saplings, that are just dying for their tales to be told. So if your stuck in a block, take a look at what’s on offer.

Elven Foresight.
Kethen'thar Night Hawk:
Edain and The Way of the Warrior: So wish I could rid the past comment.
Borzen Ritu: Also recall this being listed some where else.
Princess Leyna Ralon:
Annabel McDade:
Koliver:

Kara Feron Caspan
:
Valad Crittenton:
King Ralid Ecklin:
King Lev:
Gareth Banavlin:
Saffiya al-Ahbar:
Captain Cholak Rik-son:
Grath:
Jason Ketteran:
Magda:
Forever Nyte - Disciple of Terees: BTW: No teaser in place.
Tatianna:
Rage:
Soosa, the Old Woman of the Woods:
Kelsa Kaedani:

Miscellaneous: Within this heading you will find a wide range of little things that will over burden the Trolls, minor issues I have taken care of will be listed. If you are a scribe and wanting to assist with writing a tale about one of these Races or other arenas. I suggest that you do a little research and then go for it. Remember to contact the sage of the various arenas or one of his representatives.

Verishka Tellandras
: Fixed some minor finger slips. Examples shown below:
* or even like two tiny stars set in hear (her) lovely face
* Many had turn (turned) and ran (fled) when they saw the fury with which Verishka fought.
Kataryna "Black Rose" Vaelryn: Added a single word to connect a sentence.
* and promised none would touch her as long as she stayed in Garren (and) as long as she promised to learn the ways of an assassin.
Cariner Tridimus: Fixed some minor spacing issues and the following sentence typo.
* With no more ties to Lingin he quickly uprooted himself and took to traveling to the farhter (farther) reaches on Mernac.
Halna Salvitor: Fixed some minor finger slips. See below.
* Halna had been cursed with excessive oils in he (her) face leading blemishes
* for this way they could ensure that no tempting vixens would be around theirs (their) husbands and sons.
* Sola next to the grave in 2228 as a tribute to he (the) slave and the girl
Eetoo Uumbii:
Fixed a couple of typos and non relevant words.
* It is written that he has a (removed the a) long sleek fur of a dark gray hue (I say grey in color, you say gray. Vagaries in speech.)
* Faithmore had been a religious center of Oooloo (one o too many)
* In turn he trades (traded) items of technology, pottery, looms,
* Stromba wood carving, the unsuspecting (fur) became an agent of Kragle
* revolt in what is known as the Gentle One’s Masacre (massacre),
Kayri Braetooth: Listed as a seed with the Open Sapling information.
Alyxana Twosword: Q or Elsen, please read and edit the age to seasons. Also the measurements need looking at. Also some of wording could do with a little attention, especially towards the end.
Forever Nyte - Disciple of Terees: No teaser in place. But I’m sure I’ve read something somewhere.

You’ll know all the tales I’ve read by the comments that are left behind. I must say there has been a lot of great reads.
As I have had no feedback, which in itself is disheartening. You will notice that I am no longer picking out the endless supply of potential Open/Closed saplings and other pieces that can be used in the various arenas in LoM. Unless of course I am asked to directly, then I will go back over all the written work and send the scribes the lists and my thoughts.
I must say that my dictionary is having a fit with all the names…but it helps with the checking and referencing. I’ve noticed that the vagaries of spelling vary greatly with some scribes writing. Ie: Traveling – Travelling. These issues I have not altered as they pertain to the scribes locale.

Weekly Report/Disciple Duties

Anemo Eolics

Mernac.com FREE fantasy fiction

Report for the week of 31st July 2007 – 7th August 2007

Mernac.com FREE fantasy fiction

My disciple duties and personal duties have combined this week. Personally, I’ve made myself a few link pages:

Mernac at a Glance Guide/for Readers, Writers, Artists, other relevant Arenas and The Mothers and Fathers. I did this so it would stop me from continually searching for a tome, which I knew I had seen and found relevant to the site and my own scribing. Also hoping that other users, utilise it if they find they are stuck. I did read most of the writing and as per my normal, forgot to leave a comment. So I’ll be going back over them all and doing just that in the coming weeks.

For now however, I notified The Other and Rick of a Beta Query. It appears these tomes or at least some of them are quite old.

Terms/Concepts used in Mernac
General Writing and submission advice

Within this webpage there is a couple of small stray ??, that I cannot fix again a job for the Trolls. (They better find an optometrist and ensure they eat their carrots!)

Interactive Fiction/Never Ending Story

D&D Vs. MUD in Pen and Paper Wars, this one has only one or two stray ?? and it will take a keen eye to find them.

These I will leave all of these for the programming Trolls to look at.

Also I’ve implemented a Members of LoM link page, which encompasses their tales, blogs, and galleries. You will need to scroll to the bottom of the page to locate this one.

In applying some personal research I have fixed some minor stray ?? issues in the following tomes:

Faeries – Removed minor stray ??, nothing else changed.

Spider Elm.
Fixed a couple of really small typos. Rickits! Struggled with the reading of “When the grafting occurs in the same tree the same tree this boosts the trees circulation of sap and efficiency making it a very hardy tree, resistant to poor soil or the elements.” It felt choppy. Maybe future scribes can amend this.

Blue Maple
One really small case of Rickits.

Garren
One of the Gods may want to look at the continuity of this one. There are time references made incorrectly. I am aware it is an earlier Open Sapling, but it throws the continuity of what has been built within the Legends of Mernac. We do not use the word ‘century’, in our time lines.
Also fixed the small ?? in the scribes notes. Adjusted the spelling of ‘dieing’ to ‘dying’!

Sons of Pretense
This one also makes a reference to ‘century’ rather than ‘age’. Fixed one or two ?? in the scribes notes.

Nature's Own
Corrected the spelling of ‘dieing’ to ‘dying’. Nil stray ??.

Aadi
This has been reserved for Cathy F. Is Cathy F still an active member of LoM?
Fixed the stray’s in the scribes notes. Corrected the spelling of ‘dieing’ to ‘dying’.

Aamba Oomba
Only needed to fix the spelling of ‘dieing’ to ‘dying’ here.

Sage
Fixed a single stray ?.

Really need the programmers to look at the scribe notes area on the pages. There is still one small ? that comes up in lieu of a comma. I’ve been fixing them as I go through the pages. But it needs to be done from inside the program and therefore eliminated completely.

Now I would like to encourage every scribe to please leave me a note of Yay or Nay in the forums. That way I will be able follow your wishes. I want to add I do not under any circumstances change a persons writing. If I do have suggestions, I will PM the scribe in question and make them through this practice. I do take into account that people make up languages and that is wonderful in the fantasy genre. I strongly encourage this, however do make a translation note. Better yet, make a glossary of terms and apply for a folder in the Open Vault leaving the list there. Make a note for the connections forum, so as a connection to the glossary of terms can be accessed by the readers at their will. It will also assist other scribes if they want to utilise some of your speech or any other materials that you may have brought to life. I do encourage said scribes to PM the author and ask permissions, if you can use their creation of language in your work.
Now its no biggy, I am not the best with punctuation. I will point out glaring obvious pieces. But I will not change anything without first letting the scribe/s know. If it is minor rickits that your suffering. You will find a notation in the weekly reports.

Now if memory serves me correctly. There was a question in the forums about having an extra folder created for the Open Vault. You can do this by PM’ing the Other or Rick. Do Please take note that all the Gods are busy, not only within LoM, but with RW stuff. My suggestion is to ask and then wait. If you’ve not heard back say in a week. Ask again, make the PM’s heading stand out. God’s inbox’s are ruthlessly filled on a daily basis and they can only skim a lot of the PM’s.

Also I would like to add that I have now decided to break my report into two parts. One will be for the disciple duties only and the other my tidbits on the Legends of Mernac. I feel that this will also make it a lot easier for the God’s to check my progress reports and for others to read my little takes on the goings on within the Legends of Mernac.

Weekly Report

Anemo Eolics

Mernac.com FREE fantasy fiction

Report for the week of 24th July – 31st July 2007

Mernac.com FREE fantasy fiction

Anemo has a little Gnome who is running amok within her pages. Where will he land this rude little Gnome?

Poll results:

Speaking of which. Who did you want to see in a bottle?
Little Wind did try to add her name to the list, but the polls answers would not allow the additional names. So the poll is being cut short, so as not to offend. The results for the poll are:

CanuBaraksson – 4 votes @ 50%
Julie – 0 votes
Gorin – 0 votes
Vickie – 1 Vote @ 12%
Frost – 3 votes @ 37%

Looks like someone’s got to catch CanuBaraksson and stuff him in a bottle! There is talk of sticking Little Wind in the bottle with CanuBaraksson. Which could happen, but she won't be eating all the cookies as she can't eat them. Though she may just fill herself up with some rather gasey foods. That is if anyone of the scribes can come up with some!
Thank-you to the 8 voter’s for casting your votes!

The next poll question?

Is Anemo’s Blog too full of Plugs for the Legends of Mernac?

Sadly due to unforseen off Mernac duties Anemo has not been able to for fill her disciple duties next week. She cowers as she awaits Elsens decision on punishment!

So much has been happening in the lands of Mernac.
Teress is back with a new face. My sister is a Goddess!

(Knew she would be, you only need to look at her and she has the material to be a Goddess. Woohoo sister, shake what the Mothers gave you!)

There’s a whisper on the wind, that Terees is opening her blog with short lunchtime tales for all to share. Little wind fell off her cloud with one that she read in the forums.
Now my dear sister is recruiting , if your interested and have what it takes to work under the dear sparkling firey goddess Teress. File an application and let the Gods and Goddess’s have a further hold on your fate!

Now we just cannot go without mentioning the Lusty one. Yep the God of Lust, Quont went off on a holiday and has returned. One must say looking rather tanned and relaxed. You know who he brought back with him?
Traesha!
So look out fella’s there is a Succubi in the lands….

Or is it that he transformed our dear artist Kachinadoll and brought her to the dark side of Mernac?

Now my dears there is yet another God application
one that is quite well versed and puts Little Wind to shame!
Gorin/Sinistral

Is looking to become the God Bu Father of Death and Destruction.
Now how is that! We all know Death is a part of the cycle of life and well we certainly require it within the Legends of Mernac.
Best of Luck Gorin/Sinistral with your application to Godhood!

Now the Book Battle for Traddlebow.

That Anemo has been reading is going to be a ripper and here is a sneek peek at what is in store!

There is also a new contest on the boards. A Call to All Artisans! The Bank of Mernac needs your help! Enter the contest and win yourself 50 silver mernals and the choice of a Mernac T-Shirt, Mernac Hat, or Mernac Mug.

The favorite item of Mernac was won by Gorin/Sinistral and even though it is now closed. I feel it was a great contest and one that can be furthered. We will just have to wait and see what the dear succubi comes up with next. I wonder if it will be along the lines of something rather sexy!

Honestly, it had too! With the new promotion and all. Plus there are many entertaining pieces contained within.

Now Anemo just cannot go without mentioning that there is now a place for the scribes to let her know if they want their tomes edited of not!
Also she has taken the time and with the assistance of Elsen scribed a mission statement, this is to help the members of Legends to understand what the job entails.
Now Anemo is more than aware of the copywrite issue's and how a scribe feels about their babies (tomes), as she too is a scribe. Hence the statement and asking of the approval or denial of editing. So please do take the time to leave her a note either way! Tis far better for her to be aware of what you want as a scribe of Mernac.
Anemo is also very aware of her own short comings in the punctuation department and is likely to leave those area's to other more learned scribes. She is also aware of the differentials in grammer across real time earth and takes those into account. Anemo loves it when a scribe makes up a language all of their own. But does request that some form of translation is put into place. Just to allow the reader's a chance of learning a new language. How this can be done is still to be discussed with the Gods of Mernac and Anemo is sure that a answer will be forth coming on the boards.

Now Father Elsen is you happen to be reading this report. Can the solved Typo's, Spelling and Error's be removed from the forum boards? Thus freeing up some space for further future additions if required.

This weeks featured artisan was:

You can view his entire Gallery here.

Please stay tuned for the coming weeks artisan. As I've said before there are many great artisan's within the Legends of Mernac and Anemo has a lot of fun showing some of their work off in her blog!

Now it seems that

Mernac.com FREE fantasy fiction

has a new website. It is under construction, but I am sure once it is up and running it will be a really good additional place to visit. So do drop by and leave a note for Jylenn. Don't forget to mention Legends of Mernac, while your there!

Other News around Mernac:
There is a plethora of new images in the Galleries of Mernac. That really are quite amazing. Don't forget to rate the images. Now as Anemo pointed out earlier Quont has returned from a long awaited break. Being quite pleased that Frost has not run amok within the palace, one might add too! Please do allow Quont some time in pursuit of the scrolls that are burgeoning his inbox.
Now it appears that Siberlee's credit card has gone ashstray, I wonder if she has hidden it back in her own purse?
I'd like to take the time to ponder on the disappearance of Roadius or as his profile reveals 'Fang the Gnome'. Is that he that it is terrorising my pages? You know Gnomes can be shape shifters and well the God of mischief has been AWOL. I bet he's playing at shape shifting and giving a few of the scribes a hard time. We all know that the Fae and Elves have their little quirks. Like stealing quills and giving people wedgies, even turning their milk sour. So what is it that a shape shifting Gnome does?

EEkk found him! Anemo jumps on the nearest cloud and skate boards after the little devil! Scudding clouds, twist under Anemo's flurry of skirts as she is in hot pursuit of a rude little Gnome!
