Third addition to More stray??
As a part of my Disciple duties, I/Anemo provides the peepers for proofreading and removal of residual ??, from the sites crash last year. Some aspects I just do not have the capacity to fix and others I do.
Any tale that requires a little more 1:1 attention I’ll send a PM to the scribe. Then post it in the relevant forum, making a brief note here in my report.

What I’d like to see is that scribes take note of what they are creating during the inspiring writing and ensure that they try and make a Open Sapling or they please drop a note here. Though I think this thread should be moved to Anthology of names. Following the way that is set out in the first post. What do you think? Is this something that can be brought up and discussed at the Gods meetings?

Races of the dark:
Not listing all the headings. I like back linking but not that much.

Mirg's Story. Riddled with those strays that have been chased hopefully into oblivion. Just a couple of small typos that were fixed, for that was all they were, finger slips.
The Mothers and Fathers
Barak. Removed stray ?? from scribes notes and fixed some very minor spelling errors.
Picu. Removed the ?? from within the scribes notes.
Linthur. Removed the ?? from within the scribes notes.
Tul. Removed the ?? from within the scribes notes.
Casca Swequet. Removed the ?? from within the scribes notes.
Farli Redboots. Removed the ?? from with the scribes notes and one from the sapling hints.



Also want to add that I am reading all the tales. One checking for typos and two to try and assist myself with learning to write in the various arena’s. Learning by example of the ‘elite’ of LoM. Below you will find a list of what I have read and hopefully commented upon.
Reading recorded list: Most of these can be accessed through the recent comments on the left side bar. I’ve not listed them here as there are far too many.



Open Saplings:

Artara Qualtynn. Listed as a branch, but has the Open Sapling postings at the bottom of the page. Also was plagued with those ??, all removed. Also some very minor typos were corrected and the minor revision button was hit. Allowing the scribe to come back and restore to original. If they do please note that the ?? may return as well. Is the scribe still a contributing member of the site? Also the M-conn may require looking at, as when I hit Races of the dark. Nothing came up.
Ol' One Foot. Removed the ?? from scribes notes.
Yuri Sorefoot. Removed the ?? from scribes notes.
Shadowmane, Bane of the Light. Removed the ?? from scribes notes.



Miscellaneous: Within this heading you will find a wide range of little things that will over burden the Trolls. If you are a scribe and wanting to assist with writing a tale about one of these Races of the dark. I suggest that you do a little research and then go for it. Remember to contact the sage of the creatures or one of his representatives.

Second Banner Test. Another one that should be removed, trolls you may want to look at Acquill http://www.mernac.com/modules/mernac/?cid=31 as it is missing the description and appropriate banner/s.

Dabbat: Requires some tales be scribed and a general idea of what they look like. A banner type image would be of advantage here.

Halfthings. Was it meant to read as Halflings? This could also do with a brief description. Also scribes, there is a need for some tales here.

Wookalar. This could do with a brief description of the race and also scribes there is a need for tales to fill this section.
Roadius 1
Roadius 2 Both of these are the same. One is the original sapling and the other is the newer character sketch.


Disciples of Quont. Can I ask why the other Mothers and Fathers do not have similar sub headings for their Disciples?

Nitalia Ristler. Attempted to remove the ?? from within the scribes notes, but found the edit button was lacking.



You know what has been great with all this reading. It is providing fodder for my thoughts and prospective tales. In going through each section as I am, there are plenty of opportunities for the furthering of the tales. Given that scribes wish to utilize some of their creations and establish some Open Saplings. It should also be said that many scribes should read more of the tales and use said information in their researching of their own prospective tales.

Also I’ve noticed that some of the texts/fonts used are smaller, this could prove to be a strain on some prospective readers eyes. Also the length of some of the tales, not everyone likes to read huge bodies of text. I know I’m a culprit for the exact thing. There is a generalized word count list about somewhere, I’m sure of it.

Just want to add that at times there are some, test saplings for blank submission, in place and in my view these should be deleted after a given amount of time. Why? For the overall, appearance of the site. Yes, we know the pages have those small Trolls visiting and running amok. But are they really required for a extended length of time?

Warryn Darkstar. Removed stray ?? from scribe notes.
Snow Beast. A single stray ?.
Holik. Just the strays in the Scribe notes at the bottom of the page.
Frostkiss. Singular ? in the notes.

Art:
As I had read this long ago, before I became a Disciple the comments list the grammatical errors. These types of comment post should also be removed as they are not conducive to the site. Also I was new back then and had not taken into account the PM facility offered by the site.

Crosslings:

Drake Blackmist. Another excellent example of writing a character story. Anemo recommends that prospective scribes read this and some of the others that will be listed, in a visual learning context. If not PM the God/scribe and they will assist where they can.

Open saplings:

Again way back when, I was posting comments with the errors displayed. If there is a way for the Trolls to fix these type of comment posts. I strongly suggest that they do. Also is Lady Wrinkles http://www.mernac.com/modules/profile/userinfo.php?uid=74

Minor revision:

Semajj Retius - The Master Bard of Cathall. Fixed some spacing issues. Nothing else required attention. M-con may need looking at here however.
Pyroglyph. Fixed one tiny typo. For that was all it was at the very beginning of the tale. The ‘o’ was dropped from ‘Pyroglyph’.


Miscellaneous:

Aadi. I’ve noted this one before it is bookmarked for Cathy f. Once again I ask, is this member still contributing to the site? If not I feel a sapling needs to be scribed and left open for another scribe to take on board.
Gollivag. This is missing the scribes notes at the bottom of the page and the description of what an Open Sapling is.
Darkwind. May require updating with the Mernacian measurements.


Ok, so a lot of these are Open Saplings, with those now eradicated ??. But it shows that even though I had missed some time of my Disciple duties. I am trying to make it up and whoa that was a lot of reading.

Welcome to the blustery room of Anemo Eolic. Please take care and wear a weighted belt, they are located at the door. Mind your head as they are hovering. Sorry I've not had the time to add some anchors to the floor. However, if you look down you will see that it is a glass floor and you will have the sense of floating in the clouds. Those of you with vertigo, my suggestion would be stay close to the walls for the feeling of firm grounding. Oh and No there are NO BOBs (Battery operated Buddies) floating around in this Report, those I think can be located in Quonts blog or at the very least a link to them can be located in his residence.



Well now what a time it has been within the Legends of Mernac. There has been plenty of comings and goings. Not to forget the art work. Oh and the back bone of Mernac the tales. The scribes have been going hell for leather.
Honestly we need

Do drop over and give our scribes tales a read and some feedback.

Where to start? Without a doubt there will be items that I will miss in this report. But if you drop by the forums you can catch up on the news and views of all Mernacians in your own due time. Some that are listed here are old news that you may already be familiar with. But it does not hurt to rehash old news with Anemos personal comments.

Lets start with Happy Anniversary to the Legends of Mernac and its public opening one year ago. It is trully hard to believe that the Legends of Mernac has passed its one year anniversary. In that year there has been many welcome changes and additions. Members have been working their tails off and many improvements have been implemented. Our ATM is working quite well with the addition of Mernals to all our members. Don't forget that tipping is highly encouraged.
I do believe there is so much to catch up that even Anemo will be tripping through the boards on semi regular intervals. However, if there is something of great importance and she has missed it. Please do point her in the right direction and she will leave a wisp of a remark or comment.

However she has noticed a few changes on the boards and a slight boo in the disciple blogs that needs some minor attention. Has anyone noticed that Kat's blog comes up twice? Once with Kats blog link and then again in Naysia's blog link.

There is also chat about what our founder is trying to achieve and from the blog it shows that he has been spewing out the thoughts and with the help and assistance of all the Gods and Disciples it will be further defined. My hand goes up with plugging the site. Just point me in the right direction and with some directives and we will see which way the wind will blow.

Personal news:
My dear friend Canu seems to have been recently laid up and I do hope that he is feeling the world better and can be heard whistling a tune whilst his strums his favorite instrument. There has also been a whisper on the breeze that has said that one of very own Gods is being sent to Father Werk for some remedial assistance. Then there is a tickle that said another soul was ailing. Anemo gathers all her most healthiest thoughts and sends across the ether a well of abundant health to all members that are feeling under the weather.

Welcome to New members of Mernac:
I've been a neglectful little wind and not had the chance to welcome the following members into the Legends of Mernac. So it is with my ethereal hand that I extend a hearty welcome to all the members of Mernac. I may miss one or two of you and if I have done so please remember that I also welcome you.

Forevernyt is the newest addition to the Shadow Guard and a very warm welcome travels across the breeze. It looks like this male will be under siege from the female Shadow Guards. Their already planning on bar hopping, Anemo waves frantically..."Me too! Please I love bars, taverns, pubs and the like."
On the Shadow Guards there appears to a Purrdey joined the ranks and what a pretty site she is indeed. Her tale and art are great and deserve a look into, don't forget the positive feedback.


Shanyaks is another new member on the boards. Whose blog I've dropped into and well let me say he is quiet the Ladies man. Take heed of the note 'form an orderly line ladies' and do mind the dampness of his cavern. Anemo is careful not to blow to much dry wind into the cavern as she is sure that Shanyaks likes the damp. It also appears the Siberlee has assisted with drawing him from the cavern....

Gods Blogs: Please note that Anemo is not favoring blogs any longer as it is far too hard to choose. All the blogs can be accessed from the right side of this blog and the same can be said of those respective blogs. Mind though some are listed to the left on other blogs. Do be wary of The Other as he was recently observed laughing manically and I'm not quite sure why! It could be that there is something between his eyes that smells. Chuckles, yeah its his nose. Love ya old fetid breath with huge talons.....

Disciples Blogs:
Oh my by the Fathers and Mothers have you seen how much the blogs have grown by? There is an abundance of creative writing to read throughout the blogs of all members of Mernac.

Members Blogs:
Wow we are certainly growing and again I cannot say it enough. The more the better. If you have not set up a blog to showcase not only your writing at Mernac but your other writing skills. I do suggest that you give it some thought and if you do take up the opportunity of creating a blog. Don't forget to showcase The Legends of Mernac.

It is with deepest regret that I need to say. Due to RW commitments I will be putting a hold on Anemo's favorite Artists. All the artists of Mernac are indeed gems and treasures that adorn the tales with visually appealing works of art and they are extremely appreciated for their efforts in adding the color to the characters and lands.

The following is a week in Legends of Mernac as viewed by Anemo Eolic, you are encouraged to laugh and enjoy a reflection of the comings and goings with all the members of the site.

Look what I found in the mail! A Sparkling new trinket!

First our dearest Canu has his legs up. Now, now minds from the gutter if you will please. He has a clot and we all wish him the best in getting well.
Rick has been out of town and TO and the God of Lust thought of bringing in the dancing girls. But dear Mother Terees stepped in and reminded them they must stay focused. Maybe when she has her nose buried in a book, they’ll sneak the ladies in and there will be some coins thrown onto the floor. Just can’t imagine slipping a Mernal into a costume, you never really know where they may end up!

My dearest little Sis has gone on vacation taking her trusty camera with her. She says that she is going to the Jellybelly factory. Now I do hope she does bring back some treats for all Mernacians.

Looks like Anemo did a little bad! Stealing the Trivia question and getting it correct. Well it was a great tale and one that did stick in the mind, in a good way. Who wants that disease really? Especially given there is no known cure for it yet. But I do hear that the Tienore’s are working hard on finding a cure. Speaking of the Trivia I wonder what the answer is? Anemo smiles and keeps her hands from the keyboard.

Now don’t forget to post your permissions for Tales and art. Terees requires those to keep titillating the prospective readers.
You know there is a lot happening in the Legends of Mernac and it is really hard keeping up with all the news. So my recommendation is to check out the site and join.

Blogging News:
Ah, the Mernacian bloggy bandwagon has had it wheels movin and a grovin. Shanyaks has been spotted musing in his cave. Do drop by, but watch out for it is rather wet in there and we all know what happens when slippery when wet signs are not placed at the entrance to the cave.

It also appears that Traesha has let the cats into her blog. I know I was clawed trying to tidy the intranet cords up. My poor ethereal calf has some rather nasty little scratches and they put some serious ladders in my stockings. A pussy alert should be added to her door, though it should really read ‘Beware attacking pussies live here’ Kinda suits her persona too, don’t you think?

Terees has shown her lovely face in her blog. My oh my is not the Mother of Wisdom just so pretty to look upon. Though that is one heck of a heavy looking book in her hands, so I guess she will have plenty of lunchtime interludes scheduled into it. It also appears that she has a new shadow guard at her door. Seriously watch this one; she appears to use her seductive abilities and talents for her work as an assassin. Now there is one heck of a lady that certainly knows how and when to use her attributes.

We just can’t go without mentioning the God of Lust. the dearest well hung (Meaning he has images everywhere.) has kindly provided all the bloggers of Mernac with a new link. encouraging us to link up with our images. It could be a ploy to have more images of his gorgeous male self spread far and wide. Though he is rather a tasty morsel for the eyes.
Quont is one busy blogger with the past weeks question being responded to throughout the Lands of Mernacian blogging. There are certainly some tantalizing sounds that everyone has been listening too.

Quont’s disciple Sorcia has been busy. With her character having been published. Now it is easy to see why the darling has been leaving snail trails all over the temples of Quontas. However, it should be expected from the God of Lusts wife. You know these slippery when wet signs really need to be nailed to nearly every unadorned wall in Mernac, right next to the images of Quont.


I am such a slacker, need I say more. RW has been intruding badly this week and I’ve barely had time to even write. Let alone read. I think my dearest ethereal self will have to take a small sabbatical on her news and views for a while. Thus enabling myself to catch up on my own duties both within the Legends of Mernac and in the RW.

Thanks for dropping by and I do hope that you leave your belts at the door. They will hover there until I have caught up with my duties and own scribing. You know i just can't stop looking at that banner! At least the gnomes been quite this week, maybe he fell in that toilet? That he was phishing from last week! Looks around trying to find the Gnomish fiend, I guess he/she will show up eventually. But I'd like to know where? Oh the Ethereal Phone is ringing......

The other day while in the real world I overheard my creator and her women’s circle saying “We’ve all had men inside us from time to time in our lives. But would we really want to be one?”

Now my reaction to that was ‘I don’t want to be one, but on occasion it would be beneficial.’ My question to all our blogger friends would be the above. If you were to be a man from Mernac who would it be? Now believe me I am not taking on a piece of Quont’s questions, I’m just curious as to which male characters in Legends of Mernac would you want to be for a day!

Now this will also apply to our male members (Chuckles, no sexual pun intended.) If you were going to be a female character from the Legends of Mernac who would you choose?

Now to the truth of the matter. I have done zilch again within the Legends of Mernac. I have scribed a few chapters and am holding off popping them into the S2S. Even here. I’ve posted the first chapters of two of my novels and I am waiting for them to show up in the Vault. With requests for extra internal folders so that subsequent chapters do not get lost.

Guttural sounds of snoring can be heard, Anemo turns around her eyes crinkled and wary. ‘Who’s hiding in here napping?’

Returns to report with ears pricked, trying to pinpoint the source of the snoring.

Now I’ve had to reset my blog counter as its been under a month and I’ve received so many hits, that it was about to time out. Therefore, in my mind I must be doing something right. Cause I know no one is visiting my wet areas. Actually, they are but creating their own and my reply is there are tissues near the door to those pages, please utilise them and wash your hands afterwards.

Now last week it was my sister Vickielysia’s birthday (RW) and well, personally I gave up on age years ago as I was approaching from the wrong direction. However, if there is anyone else within Legends that is celebrating an event. I wish you all the best and do party hard.



The poll has been dysfunctional this week. So the poll will be placed on hold until it becomes functional again.



News from inside Legends of Mernac:

Now within Legends of Mernac there were some technical difficulties and The Other has appraised us of the events and added that we should all check our accounts and other areas. Making him aware via a PM or Mernacian email of any issues. So Beta testers, keep an open eye for the little nasties that may show up.

Do try to keep up with The Other Addresses the Masses. There is great reading and links contained within.
Plus you really do not want to make him grumpy!

The studio
Has an interesting off site thread. That could do with some additional links. If I was so inclined to try graphic arts, I’d be using the links provided. But I am afraid I just can’t draw a straight line and that is fine as I am an inker anyway. But I do love the graphic arts that are on offer here at Mernac and I do encourage, even if jealously all to take full advantage of the mentoring that is offered.

Can I order a piece of white meat that consists of seven herbs and thirteen spices within Legends? Not yet, but I believe you will be able to soon. There is a plenty of opportunities to create food within LoM and I know I am hungry!

Now our dear succubi Traesha has a formal affair going and it appears to be a rather nice little event. Do take a peek and add your own little bit of black and white to the threads.
There has been many threads in the public area and just far too many to mention. Including my own asking if I am wanted at LoM. Everyone is busy and I am aware of that. Its only that I feel at times that I should change my name to threadkiller. I miss Canu! He perks me up.

Where has Father Elsen disappeared too? I hope not injured in the castle raid!

Quont has a question for us all, that deserves a reply. Mine is in character and rather waffles, but that is me entirely a waffling iron..lol
There has been talk on blogging and asking questions on how to post links, it’s a trial and error issue really. I’ve been on a steep learning curve on that myself and I think I’ve done reasonably well. Though I can’t get the linking from here to there, you know the post a link. Aarrggh I have tried, but it does not seem to work. So if someone has a heads up on the matter, please share with us some what Blogging illiterate types.



In the S2S there are many works awaiting approval and others waiting feedback:

The D20 RPG Content:
Has been quite active and there are a considerable amount of interesting RPG saplings that will make the future game, interesting to say the least. Great work there everyone.

Saplings:
Has been a little slow. But I know that a certain shadow guard is working hard in compiling a wide variety of new saplings. That should stir the imaginative juices of all scribes.

Items:
Oh come now, there has to be a few more items that we scribes have placed in our tomes that we could write a little more information on. I know I sound like I am repeating myself. That’s because I am!

Lore:
Ignore my works in there for the moment as we are awaiting Roadius’s return. But that does not mean ignore the rest. I know we are all busy, myself included, but a little feedback goes a long way and that would apply to all of the S2S arenas.

Places:
Now I know I had a whinge in my thread about not getting feedback and as I said above a little goes a long way. I need to take my own advice too. But I do have about five tales on the go and am doing tons of research. Not excluding tomes that are mentioned in some of the S2S arenas.

Characters:
Now here this could relate to my above question, there are characters here that are interesting and if not a little frightening. I’d like to see the directions their characters take and who would like to be them for a day!

Legends:
Which leads us into the focal point of Legends of Mernac. Legends are the primary arena of the site and the place from which all other work stems from. It is here that we read about the directions our characters take. It is here that we take the time to fluff out our works with some beautifully descriptive writing. Knock the socks off our readers and the Gods, and you will be published.



Trivia Question
An interesting concept that I love do keep an eye of this one, it is fun and educational for the Legends of Mernac, scribes and readers. The weekends question has been posted and well it has been quite quiet. But that is the way of the weekend, RW takes over and we all need to rest.

It appears the Gnome has scarpered, for now. Looks around warily…..You know I dislike this time variant. It’s hard to have a conversation with people, when I am awake and they are sleeping! Maybe I can bribe the Gnome to poke some people and keep them awake!

Now I have to say “Happy Birthday” to our dear Vickie! Pushes M&Ms in her direction…..
Too much sugar? Nah, never! Happy Birthday Fiery Sis, dont' singe the candy!


As you all know the Poll for the week of the 24th -31st was cancelled, and two more were instituted. The results for these Polls are:

Now this weeks question is in my view a little harder.
Who was it that said, "Words don’t seem like much at a time like this, son,"? Have fun researching, do help each other out if you feel you are stuck.


Now were did that bottle disappear too! Apparently, Canu wants to hop into a bottle with me! I hope it’s a nice bottle of aged bourbon, JB sounds quite nice! I found a bottle, but its already occupied.




Now to some news from inside the Lands of Mernac. Quont has been at it again and not long back from holidays either! Tell Us Your Greatest Sexual Fantasy has received limited replies . Now Sorcia in her passionate desires scribed and keeps scribing about her addiction to Quont. Intriguing ideals there Sorcia, I think you had better buy some new batteries. (Chuckles and runs off to the local quickie mart…not that type of quickie!) There is silver to be had, if you pen your deepest darkest desires.

Now within Quont's blog there is the never ending quest to make Mernacian bloggers scribe there is the 3rd question .
Which the bulk of Mernacian bloggers have responded to quite well. Good on us all!
Though I hardly think I need help with finding something to write. I do with the punctuation however! Oh tis sad when one knows oneself all too well!



Now I must simply say there have been tomes upon tomes being published in the various arenas of Mernac. This is great to see and I will be reading, just not immediately. I do have my own tomes to work on and off course this blog to keep up with. Plus the wonder of other peoples blogs to read.

Book: The Croth Rebellion, now here is a Saga that begs reading. Please do I am sure that father Elsen will appreciate it greatly and not set the Disciples on you.

Some interesting ones to read would be in my opinion:
One Tongue, informative and beautifully scribed on some of the history of Legends of Mernac.
Bragin appears to be a nice place to visit. Just watch out for some strange creatures.
Arden, oh an undiscovered and unscribed land! Oh, ah, how does one know whether to travel there? When there is not even a hint of a brochure available!



In the forums there has been questions flying! It appears that over the weekend Elsen went out raiding a castle We disciples have been instructed to behave, whilst Father is away. Well lets see…. Don't injure yourself Father! You've work to do and I really think sore fingers and fanny would not be advantageousness to working conditions. Though I could send a cooling wind to any little hurt. But I can't come close to you, you have some rather bad side effects when I am in your proximity.

What does Teress look like? People have been asking. Well I can say that Canu has done a wonderful job on the image of Teress and our newest Goddess is looking into having to scribe an addendum on the original works of Silvervalkyrie. I hope she has some success!

There's a New Succubus in Town! So look out everyone, I hear she is quite adept at her choosen vocation and is a close pet of Quont's!

What is a Character story? Now there is a question and dilemma that I am always asking myself. I know I'm a character and a rather outlandish one at that! But how does one master the art of scribing one? Read and learn, then read and learn, in other words keeping trying.

What a Week? Dearest Uncle, you need to go over to that fledgling spa that was mentioned and try out the facilities. No going out on big outings, unless its shopping spree's. And only then if you buy your Disciples a wee little gifty! (chuckles and winks.)

Gone on a trip and not writing impromptu poetry. Did I hear presents? Oh Brother Canu, how sweet! One for all the Disciples regardless of who the God is! Wow, wishful thinking! He he he....

Ricks trip, he too busy…..over worked and under paid. Ah, whats happening here? Everyone seems to be going off on rests, breaks and what not! I want a holiday! Looks at the Mernacian lottery ticket and hopes!

I suppose I could always Adopt a thread. Now here is a revived thread that should be utilised a lot more in my opinion. The same could apply to art/images, if you see an image that inspires you to get your parchments out and dip the quill. Leave a note here too! So as we can all keep an eager eye out for the work to show up in the s2s. I'm not adopting a thread, though one of those nice little furballs that I've seen running around could do nicely.
